Check the stitching, buckles and metal parts before every use, and stop using it if anything is frayed or damaged. Fit it snug but not tight, and check again once your cat starts moving. Always supervise, never tie the leash to anything, and never leave it on an unattended cat. Introduce it indoors first, in short sessions.
